[ExcelVBA] Installing An Add-In

I'm probably missing something very simple here, but can somebody help me please.

I've written and tested an add-in (VBA code) which I've password protected and stored in a folder called "C:Program Files\Mysociety" and called the addin "Soc.xla"

Within the add-in, I have a routine called "UpdateMenu" which creates a menu in Excel with all the required routines in it.

The add-in works fine, but I now need to distribute it to a small group of colleagues who have limited computer skills.

I've written a short using the "Workbook_Open" procedure (in a stand alone install xlsm file) which registers the add-in OK, but I can't get the "UpdateMenu" routine in the add-in to execute from the Workbook_Open procedure.

I've tried all sorts of commands to try and get it to execute, but I've either got the sysntax wrong, or I'm trying to install it the wrong way.

Any suggestions please?

Also is there a way of creating an install exe to automate the whole install process

Regards,

Fred
