Many thanks, but unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem. Do you have any other ideas?

Try this process, which has cleared up some issues for others in the past:
1. Go to the add-in manager and uncheck the add-in.
2. Exit EXCEL (which should remove any references to the add-in from the
registry)
3. Restart EXCEL
4. Go to the add-in manager and put the add-in back into the list
5. Exit EXCEL (to save the new settings)
6. Restart EXCEL

It didn't solve the problem on a NEW workbook, or with the old? If the old
is corrupted, changing the add-in won't fix the workbook.
If the add-in itself is corrupted, you should delete all the files and
replace them, in between steps (2) and (3).
Note that the reference to Temporary Internet Files will not be fixed by
anything we do -- it is a hard-copied location within the saved workbook.
It can only be fixed manually -- see the "Location Errors" entry in the
"Links" area of the group.

Bllomberg...again!

Hi Randy,
I'd appreciate it if you would help me construct a formula to get the last price for ".TEDSP:IND". This has been covered before but the solution offered doesn't work anymore.
The following formula:=0+smfGetTagContent( "http://www.bloomber g.com/quote/ ","span",1,"move:ind >move:IND" gives me the last price for the MOVE Index and #VALUE! for ".TEDSP:IND" .
The only explanation that I can up with for this is that the last price's element for each security on the Bloomberg site are different:
MOVE:IND = <span class=" price">
.TEDSP:IND = <span class=" price">,,,<\span>
If that's the case then how do I tweak the formula to get the last price for the TED spread?
Using the advanced mode from web in Excel 2007 will get me the last price and the daily change but I prefer working with your add-in.
Thanks.

The problem with .TEDSP:IND is that they have an orphaned <span> tag within
the price span. That is, this:
=smfGetTagContent("http://www.bloomber g.com/quote/ .tedsp:ind
","span",1,">.TEDSP:IND" )
...returns this:
0.41 <span>
So adding zero to that gives a #VALUE! error. But you can use SUBSTITUTE()
to remove the string:
=0+SUBSTITUTE(smfGetTagContent ("http://www.bloomber g.com/quote/ .tedsp:ind
","span",1,">.TEDSP:IND" ),"<span> ","")
I don't know why they code the pages inconsistently.

Spread Sheet locking up

My excel spread sheet is getting locked up on certain names "calculating cells: 0%" never increasing and on the top of the excel title bar reads "(Not Responding)"
Is there a way to find out what is causing the spread sheet to lock-up?

Sounds like you're retrieving too much data. How many formulas do you have?
Another possibility is that one of the web sites you're getting data from
is unavailable. Then, the add-in formulas need to "time out" for each new
web page.

Upgrading to real-time quotes

Have an SMF Excel spreadsheet with GetYahooQuotes that I would like to go with real-time quotes. Signed up for Yahoo Finance Market Tracker service (real-time quote product) but they don't say how to link it to an Excel file and SMF. Given your familiarity with Yahoo Finance and SMF, how do I go about making the link?
Thanks

As I understand it, you just need to log in and you get the real time
quotes instead of delayed quotes automatically. However, you must log in
with either the EXCEL Web Query process or with IE, as something like
FireFox will not create the proper security cookies for EXCEL and the
add-in.

I don't have real-time quotes, so I don't know where you need to log in.

elementNumber documentation

Hello,
Is there any documentation which lists elementNumbers and their corresponding values? (For example, what are the elementNumbers corresponding to Current Liabilities, Total Liabilities, etc.?)
Sorry if this is a really basic question--I'm new to this group and the add-in, which is amazing by the way!
Thanks!

There was an XLS file in the ZIP archive you downloaded that has the
list...you can filter that list and search for things of interest.
