Hi, Randy!
I am using the RCHGetElementNumber-ElementDefinitions file from "Works in Progress", dated 2015-04-20, and it seems that the names for elements 4734 to 4767 do not match the definitions in smf-elements-4.txt

Thanks for the heads up. I've corrected descriptions of elements 4734 thru
4763 and reuploaded the file.

Hi Randy, web page:http://us.spindices.com/indices/equity/sp-500, then click "additonal info", then "earnings". You retrieve a excel spreadsheet. I wish to use something like the rchgettablecell function to automatically extract data when changed into my own spreadsheet. thanks Joe

Since it's an EXCEL workbook that resides on their servers, you'd just use
normal EXCEL processing to refer to the worksheet. You don't need the
add-in for that. For example:
='
http://us.spindices.com/documents/additional-material/[sp-500-eps-est.xlsx]ESTIMATES&PEs'!$A$4
...or you could even array-enter and bring in a range:
=IF(LEN('
http://us.spindices.com/documents/additional-material/[sp-500-eps-est.xlsx]ESTIMATES&PEs'!A23:M36)=0,
"",'
http://us.spindices.com/documents/additional-material/[sp-500-eps-est.xlsx]ESTIMATES&PEs'!A23:M36
)
