Randy thanks for the quick and detailed response.
I have updated all of my definitions, have tried the various formulas that you provided, and am coming up with "Error" messages. I am trying to figure out what could be the reason for this.
When I try =RCHGetElementNumber("Definition",3344) - I receive the correct response
...but when I insert a symbol, it instantly goes to "Error" The formulas for the Yahoo items are working, but the Google items in the 3000s are not working. Also, if I use symbols from smaller companies (within the Russell 3000), they will not work as well.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Alan

Exit and restart EXCEL if it's open. Then, what do you get in a new
worksheet with:
=RCHGetElementNumber("Version")
=RCHGetElementNumber("Definition",3344)
=smfGetTagContent("https://www.google.com/finance?fstype=ii&q=MMM","title")
=RCHGetElementNumber("MMM",3344)
=RCHGetTableCell("https://www.google.com/finance?fstype=ii&q=MMM",1,"INCINTERIMDIV","(except
for per share items)")
=RCHGetWebData("https://www.google.com/finance?fstype=ii&q=MMM",1,30)
You'll have to give me specific examples of what doesn't work in the
Russell 3000. Don't make me waste time searching when I don't need to.
