The add in still does not work for me (running Excel for Mac 2016). Any help is appreciated.
I get the Compile Error: Can't find project or library

As someone who joined this group years ago only to be disappointed by Microsoft's (incompatible) version of Excel for the Mac, this caught my eye. My apologies for coming in late, am I to understand that there is a possibility of getting things to work on MacOS?

I emailed the guy that started this thread but never heard a response. I've
tried different ways to get it working but I keep getting a run time error
when I try to run the add in.
From what I read it should work on excel 2011 but probably not on older
versions. But how exactly I'm not sure.
If anyone has any ideas...

I got it to work.
1) Download the add in to the Applications folder
2) Open excel then Tool --> Add ins
3) Check Solver and then Select
4) Open the folder with the addin and select the main addin file
At this point you will get an error showing all the things that are
missing. Uncheck all the checked boxes and the close. The addin should work
at this point.

2011.
It seems like something is not fully working though. For example the
rchgetelement function returns an "error" when I use a stock symbol but
when i replace the symbol with the command "element" it works fine
returning the correct element name.

I am not having any success following the instructions Instructions for using the SMF add-in on a Macintosh Computer http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Works-In-Progress/MAC-Instructions.html
Instructions for using the SMF add-in on a Macintosh Computer http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Works-In-Progress/MAC-Instructions.html The Mac add-in is slower than its Windows counterpart by a factor of 4x but most extraction are under 1 second. The Mac add-in uses the "curl" function to access each website.

Again, I'm using Excel for Mac 2016. After I deselect all of the check boxes. I did note though that in this version the Visual Basis for Applications and Microsoft Excel 14.0 Object Library are grayed out and won't allow me to deselect them. Not sure why this happens.
Visual Basic for Applications Microsoft Excel 14.0 Object Library OLE Automation Microsoft Office 14.0 Object Library I still get a Compile error: User-defined type not defined.
