HI Randy,
I've been using RCHgetwebdata to parse a .txt document I save to my PC from a website. However after installing the recently updated SMF_add in the RCHgetwebdata formula I use returns error.
I tried an older copy of the .txt to make sure the provider hasn't changed their formatting and I still get an error.
The formula is =RCHGetwebdata("C:92;Users92;Elliot92;my documents\acquireEvents[31].txt",A5,25)
Thoughts?
Elliot.

RCHGetWebData() shouldn't have changed. But you need to use the "file://"
protocol to read a local file. For example, this works for me:
=RCHGetWebData("file://C:\Users92;Randy92;Documents92;#Work92;Test.txt")
...but not this:
=RCHGetWebData("C:92;Users92;Randy92;Documents92;#Work92;Test.txt")

Great that works thanks Randy!
Curious why it changed to having to use the file directory?

Thanks Randy, The latest update fixed this issue. smfGetOptionQuotes() is working again.

Randy,Yes the new update seems to have mostly fixed my problem. I still have 2 tickers out of approx 30 that are showing ERROR. They are (embarrassingly) AFSI June 16 $25 Put and LULU June 16 $70 Call. I have tried both of the possible SMF formats (see below).
Interestingly enough (I think) the old =smfGetYahooOptionQuote is also returning quotes. Was that expected?
Thanks for your excellent help.Randy

It's not surprising those two fail. Yahoo doesn't have data on them...
smfGetYahooOptionQuote() better work. That's what smfGetOptionQuotes()
calls to get option quotes from Yahoo...

I am getting different stock prices using RCHGetYahooQuotes...
=RCHGetYahooQuotes("SBUX","ol1") returns 61.1
=RCHGetYahooQuotes("HD","ol1") returns 153.11
But the Yahoo site
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SBUX?ltr=1 https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SBUX?ltr=1 shows $61.56 (same as shown in Fidelity)
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/HD?ltr=1 https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SBUX?ltr=1 shows $154.22 (same as shown in Fidelity)
Since this is after hours, the difference cannot be due to trading.
Is there a reason why the values the different? Is there another function call I should use to retrieve the stock price?

Well, the two RCHGetYahooQuotes() functions are asking for TWO values to be
returned -- opening price and last traded price. If you're just entering it
into a single cell, all you'll see is the opening price. Just use "l1" if
all you want is the last traded price...
