Randy,
You are a genius. Thank you so much. This was putting a hamper on some of my Fundamental Analysis work. Now I can get back to some real due diligence..
Thanks for all you do!

This
=RCHGetYahooQuotes($A33&B$29&"=X","l1")
used to work but no longer.
Please let me know call and parameters for Euros.
Thanks.

RCHGetYahooQuotes() has been dead for months now, ever since Yahoo
unplugged their API that fed it. See:
https://smf-add-in.blogspot.com/2017/11/alert-official-notice-by-yahoo.html
The replacement is the new smfGetYahooPortfolioView() function. Template
and documentation are available on the website.

In the old days, this would work, but no more:
=RCHGetYahooQuotes("^TYX","l1")/100
Will appreciate y'all pointing me to the right function parameters.

Randy and company,
Hi. My name is Kevin Chung and I have been a lurker on this site for years. And like most of you, I've found Randy's spreadsheet tool to be most useful and I was most appreciative of his efforts to maintain the tool for free. Of course, things became more and more challenging as sites such as MSN started to reduce their data offering. So I left and subscribed to a data service. And started to work with analytics tools beyond Excel. To make this short, I've launched a website that does machine learning based DCF, Mr. Market normal prices, 13F tracking/analysis, and financial data visualization. If you were using SMF_addin for any of the above, my site is only $99 a year. I have a fully functioning demo with Dow 30 stocks. Again, I apologize for the shameless plug, but I thought it would be of interest. The site is www.loudnumber.com http://www.loudnumber.com. Thank you.

I'm going to reveal my complete ignorance.
What's the difference between the functions GetWebData, GetHTMLTableCell, GetTagContent, & when should I use them?
Many thanks.

RCHGetTableCell() would be used to extract data out of the cell of a coded
HTML table.
smfGetTagContent() would be used to extract data out of a coded HTML tag
(which could be a table cell). This function almost obsoletes
RCHGetTableCell(), since it is just a more general version that applies to
any pair of HTML tags.
RCHGetWebData() directly retrieves the source code of the web page, so you
can do custom extractions, usually unrelated to HTML tags.
Which one to use depends on how the web page is coded, and how it presents
the data. These days, I start with smfGetTagContent() and then go to
RCHGetWebData() if that can't do the trick. RCHGetWebData() is best used in
cascading extractions -- where patterns of the HTML code contain multiple
data items of the same type on the web page. For example, a search result
on Amazon that lists 60 different books on the web page.
I often play with the various worksheets
in SMF-Quick-Webpage-Examination.xls to get an idea of ways to extract data
from a given data source.

Insider transactions:
=RCHGetHTMLTable("https://www.gurufocus.com/insider/AAPL",">Shares owned")
The Guru Trades table is dynamically built from a JSON file and would need
to be extracted individually from it:
=RCHGetWebData("https://www.gurufocus.com/classes/screener/gurutrades/AAPL?
length=500",,,,3)
Not a trivial task. It appears that 500 trades is the limit for that method?

I am having options data being updated for several tickers:
For example EBAY190118C00018000
The Yahoo Finance page shows last trade, bid, ask, at 21.07, 20.60, 21.15..
The same data in my array for fields (15, 20, 22) shows up as 23.5, 22.3, 24.3, respectively.
Having similar problems with other symbols too.
Not sure if you are seeing the same.
Thanks
NM
I am having options data being updated for several tickers:
For example EBAY190118C00018000

I've seen something like that on one of the option ticker symbols I use.
It's a Yahoo issue. As far as I can tell, even the Yahoo web page itself
can't be valid. For example, for your EBAY190118C00018000 symbol, it says "As
of April 23 3:10PM EDT" even though it's currently "April 26 2:19PM EDT".
Mine currently has nearly a zero value (down from a $0.30 purchase price),
but from time to time it shows up with an $8 price. I got real excited the
first time I saw it. :(
For some reason, it sometimes has stale data for options. I'm assuming one
or more servers aren't getting price updates, so when a request is fed from
those servers, it serves up the old data.
