A couple of reboots and a system performance update seems to have speeded things up back to normal.
I fear the RCHCreateComment function is gone forever however. Too bad as I really liked that functionality.

Hi Randy,
I'm using
"=LEFT(RCHGetTableCell("https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MMM?p=MMM&.tsrc=fin-srch",1,"USD","Bid"),6)"
Problem is when bid changes on yahoo, spreadsheet isn't updated. How do I remedy this?
Thank you, and hope you had a great holidays.

You'd be better off using the smfGetYahooPortfolioView() function. It can
return multiple data items for many ticker symbols, with a single Internet
access.
In either case, the way to get updated data is to run the
smfForceRecalculation macro. That purges all saved copies of web page
within the add-in and forces requests for new copies of needed web pages.
Be sure to confirm that you have your Internet Options (via either IE or
Win10's Control Panel) set to always get a fresh copy of a web page.

Unfortunately, Google started dismantling their finance website near the
end of 2017 and unplugged it completely several months ago.
