Hi Randy,
I'm having an issue trying to access financial statements from AdvFN using the smfGetAdvFNElement() or the RCHGetElementNumber() calls. Nothing is returned through these calls. The site seems accessible directly.
Are you aware of these problems? What alternative do I have otherwise for downloading financial information sur as ROA, Current Ratios, etc. ?
Many thanks
Antoine

I just tried the All-Line-Items template with ticker symbol MMM and it's
returning data for me. Maybe they were temporarily unavailable?
I stopped using AdvFN several years ago, when there data was getting
questionable. I now use GuruFocus, although as a subscriber I have access
to the full range of their data for US stocks.
An easy way to go is MorningStar. Their CSV files are pretty easy to use.
See the "Tips and FAQs" page for details.
What do you get with:
=RCHGetElementNumber("Version")
=smfGetADVFNElement("MMM","A",999)
=smfGetADVFNElement("MMM","A",1,">date preliminary data loaded<")
