Looks like Company Name - Element 13863 isn't working anymore for me. Is there another easy way to get that with a ticker symbol?
=RCHGetElementNumber(A4,13863)
where A4 has the ticker in it?
ThanksBG
=RCHGetElementNumbe

Try the new smf-elements-2.txt. I changed the element definition.
If you need a number of them, smfGetYahooPortfolioView() would be the way
to go.

Hi Randy, I still got an error but I notice something strange when I tried to access directly the advfn site.
I copied the URL you've provided below
"https://www.advfn.com/p.php?pid=financials&mode=quarterly_reports&symbol=MMM https://www.advfn.com/p.php?pid=financials&mode=quarterly_reports&symbol=MMM"
But when I pasted it direcly in the Excel IE Web Form, it automatically converted and linked to the Canadian version of the site. Same thing happened when trying to open the link directly in Firefox (I live in Canada).
https://ca.advfn.com/stock-market/TSX/MMM/financials?mode=quarterly_reports https://ca.advfn.com/stock-market/TSX/MMM/financials?mode=quarterly_reports
So geography-based conversation. Not sure how to resolve this? Any idea?

Hmm. What do you get with:
=RCHGetWebData("https://www.advfn.com/p.php?pid=financials&mode=quarterly_reports&symbol=MMM https://www.advfn.com/p.php?pid=financials&mode=quarterly_reports&symbol=MMM", "/stock-market/", 80)
=smfGetTagContent("https://www.advfn.com/stock-market/NYSE/MMM/financials?&mode=annual_reports&btn=start_date https://www.advfn.com/stock-market/NYSE/MMM/financials?&mode=annual_reports&btn=start_date", "select"
If either returns "Error"

IIRC, you may also need to worry about exchange prefixes because it
defaults to Canadian exchanges? I'm not even sure if it still works the
same. I don't do anything with AdvFN these days.

Thank you, Randy, you are amazing: this is great stuff. It seems to work fine for US stocks but I have to find a way to get Canadian info for the Canadian stock market. I'll work on it and see how to get by..
