Hi Michael
Excel is quite clever in disabling addons that causes delays/issues during startup and will usually flag to you something like "This addon has causes issues twice now and will be disabled. Is this ok?".
A cursory search on "google cloud connect excel 2007" yielded some interesting reading. The link http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/docs/kecJrTbs8pA looked the most interesting, but not sure whether this is the cause of your troubles.
Regards
Paul

Subject: [ExcelVBA] Google Cloud Connect
I realize this is off topic, but I wonder if anyone knows why Google Cloud Connect is disabled in Excel 2007.
I installed it, and it worked for a while, but then stopped working. When I checked Excel Options > Add-Ins I saw that it had been disabled, presumably by Excel itself. I could easily enable it, but I'm afraid that Excel disabled it for a good reason, and enabling it might cause problems.
Does anyone know if it is safe to enable Google Cloud Connect for Excel 2007?
Thanks,
Michael Trombetta
