3302 SE Google Annual Income Statement -- Date -- FY1
=RCHGetElementNumber("SLVO",3302) returns Error
Is this expected? Do I need to be logged into the site in IE before using the function?

Expected. Google doesn't carry financial statements for SLVO.

This is off topic from Randy's financial addins. I have been a recluse member to this group for more than 10 years now. I use to hack my way thru VBA and the financial markets. I recently got a job which would benefit from using some VBA coding. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book or two for programming in Excel VBA?
I am using Excel 2016 for an intranet environment with SharePoint and Office 365. I believe macros are not supported in Office 365 Excel which is ok, if they can download my version and run it locally on the user machine.
One concern I had was that read somewhere Microsoft has stopped developing Excel VBA and the future is to move in a different direction. To my knowledge that is not any time soon though so I was pursuing automation of a lot of manual tasks.
Thanks,
Rob

I'm currently using the add-in with Office 365 on two Windows 10 machines.

Randy,
Any reason why "RCHGetElementNumber(Ticker, 5439)" would return "0" for
the Annual Income Statement -- Amortization of Intangibles -- FY4 for
CSCO. The correct result is 395. The remaining years are correct.
Thanks
Tom

Thanks Randy! I truly appreciate the time you spend helping the group. I did see that AdvFN has other incorrect or missing data besides the one I posted. Is there a better way to get reliable data short of manually gathering it from the 10-Ks on EDGAR?
Thanks Again
Tom

Hello Randy,
I just checked the Reuters website ... the link the you proveded in your last response:
http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/financial-highlights/MMM http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/financial-highlights/MMM
And there appears to be data there...including dividend growth. But it is still coming up as 0 in my spreadsheet.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Still looks empty to me...the element is defined on the "Dividends"
section, not the "Growth" highlights for the Income Statement.
You can grab the other one with this work-around:
=smfGetTagContent("
http://www.reuters.com/finance/stocks/financial-highlights/MMM","td",3,"Dividend
%",,,,1)
