This problem drove me so crazy that I was about to start a clean
installation of Windows until I noticed something: The copy of
RCH_Stock_Market_Functions.xla that I browse to when installing and
re-installing the add-in had a modification date of 12/1/2017, the day that
the add-in last worked. So obviously Microsoft had screwed with it
somehow. I then shut down Excel, re-extracted the original
RCH_Stock_Market_Functions.xla with a modification date of 11/8/2017,
installed the add-in again, and now Excel is back to loading it
automatically on start-up.
