Hi Randy,
I usually get my prices through the thinkorswim platform, but I have a new spreadsheet that I don't want to have to depend on that desktop software being open.
I've scanned through your lengthy (and generous) list of templates, but they all go way beyond just simply grabbing current price of a stock.
The YahooQuotes function says OBSOLETE, but the history function seems like overkill.
I tried the =smfPricesByDates(C3, E$1), where C3 = ticker and E1 = today(), but I only get #NA.
What have you found to be the fastest, most reliable formula for current price? And would you use Google or Yahoo?
Thanks,
Jim
