Sorry, but that's nearly a decade ahead of where I am EXCEL-wise. I have
zero experience there.

I'll check tonight when I am at home, but I am pretty sure I am using the
Excel 2013 64bit version without issue. I'll reply again if I am mistaken
and it is actually 32bit.

You can use RCHGetYahooQuotes() to retrieve the previous day's closing price. For example:
=RCHGetYahooQuotes("MMM","p")
You should use that function for all current quotes type information. There are no elements defined for daily quotes type data, because RCHGetYahooQuotes() would be so much more efficient. It can get a number of data items on up to 200 ticker symbols with a single Internet access.

How can I use the RCHGetTableCell to extract the closing price from Bloomberg for this URL? I've read the documentation for the function and tried changing the index to 0 but it doesn't seem to get the pointer back to the beginning.
Is there documentation on the table output from Bloomberg and how to capture what Bloomberg is returning at this URL? The returned table must not include the header line with the price?
http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/fnhtmx:us http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/fnhtmx:us
This is the function call I tried, where FNHTMX:US is in cell A1.
=RCHGetTableCell("http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/"&A1,"
Any ideas?
Thanks. This is a great tool.

Without a search string, you'll just get the first table cell on the page.
To pick up the NAV table cell, you'd need:
=RCHGetTableCell("http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/"&A1,1,">NAV")
Unfortunately, that has other data in it:
(on 2015-02-09)10.03
So, you need to extract the price out:
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(RCHGetTableCell("http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/
"&A1,1,">NAV"),")","~"))
Or, if you want to pull it out of the top part of the web page, that one is
not in a table cell, so you need to use another function, and extract it
out of the resulting string as well:
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/
"&A1,"span",1,"tickersymbol"),">","<"))
It can also be extracted out of the JavaScript used to initialize the
streaming quotes:
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/
"&A1,"script",-1,"cache.set_object"),"last_price"":""",""""))
