Sounds like you're just entering the formula into a single worksheet cell,
so you'd just get the first row and first column of the HTML table. If you
want the whole table, you need to array-enter the formula over a worksheet
range.

I was just wondering if it is not possible to create a few more functions
that allow you to directly read the api for fx calls rather than relying on
the html table?
