How can I download eod data without it to be updated when I save or refresh the excel file?
I want to download a lot of data.. 6000 rows and 630 collums - HLCV and 3 fundumentals of half year and I want it to just download it and save the output
Is it possible?
Thanks

Please don't download that much data. I don't want the free data sources to
change their web pages so the add-in can't access the data. As such, the
add-in is designed for ad hoc data retrieval. You should be using available
screening tools to winnow down which companies you need to look at before
getting more detailed data.
If you need that level of data, you should buy something like AAII's Stock
Investor Pro database.
Another excellent stock screener is Portfolio123.com, which includes a
point-in-time backtester.
But if you don't want it to refresh, you'll need to convert the retrieved
data to values so that the formulas no longer exist when you re-open the
file. You can also set a trigger cell to determine when you want the
formulas to calculate, although then they don't retain the previous values.
Search "trigger" on the message archives for some examples.

I can't capture the data from the table of this web :
http://www.aastocks.com/en/stocks/analysis/company-fundamental/profit-loss?symbol=00001
with using Function : =RCHGetTableCell("
http://www.aastocks.com/en/stocks/analysis/company-fundamental/profit-loss?symbol=00001
",1,"EBITDA")
I also can't get the cell by using smfGetTagContent Function :
=smfGetTagContent("
http://www.aastocks.com/en/stocks/analysis/company-fundamental/profit-loss?symbol=00001
","td",1,">EBITDA")
Grateful for your help please.

Both of your functions work fine for me. BUT -- ONLY after I click through
on the popup to use the new layout. You need to do that with the EXCEL Web
Query dialog (preferred, keyboard shortcut alt+d+d+w) or with IE, to set
the IE cookie that you want to use the new layout they are converting to.

Hi
I'm successfully using Yahoo for stock quotes and historical prices: great AddIn!
Has anyone used Morning Star for FTSE (UK) stock prices or ITs and ETFs for that matter?
I'm thinking of paying for a Premium account there.
Any info welcome.
Best wishes
Howard
