Hello Randy,
Re: fyi, I think maybe rchgetelementnumber 14428 maybe reporting wrong info?
This element number is reporting 10.4% for Wal-Mart.
But the Morningstar website shows 5.1%? I think this is the right number?

Element #14428 isn't the forecasted 5-year growth rate, it's the growth
rate implied by the 2nd forecast year EPS estimates from 90 days ago. So
10.4% is correct. It comes from this static web page:
http://financials.morningstar.com/valuation/annual-estimate-list.action?t=WMT
Element 14434 is the forecasted 5-year growth rate, and comes from this
static web page:
http://financials.morningstar.com/valuation/forward-comparisons-list.action?t=WMT

=RCHGetElementNumber($B3,5064) where B3 contains the ticker
=RCHGetElementNumbe

MorningStar has removed that web page address. Try this one instead:

All,
Since I couldn't get this to work I made something using RCHGetWebData().
I thought some of y'all might be interested in it.
In Excel 2010:
=RCHGetWebData("http://www.finviz.com/quote.ashx?t="&MainTicker,"fullview-profile",(FIND("</td>",RCHGetWebData("http://www.finviz.com/quote.ashx?t="&MainTicker,
Enjoy!

Element #994 is just the "description" from the ETF Investment Outlook web
site's listing of ETFs, so really just the name of the ETF.
Just an FYI -- your formula below can be done more simply as:
=RCHGetTableCell("http://www.finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=
"&D6,0,"fullview-profile")

Group,
I am trying to use the RCHGetTableCell for Google on the summary page to extract the shares value. The formula I wrote is as follows
=RCHGetTableCell("https://www.google.com/finance?q="&Ticker, 1, "shares")
However, when executed it returns the word "Range" which is the first word in the column. When I change the cell # to 2 it gives me the value for the stock price range. It does not matter what phrase I put in "quotes", as it appears to just grab either cell 1 or cell 2. From this google table, I want to be over to the right one column and down 3, however, when I put in any other cell number, it gives me an error.
Here is the syntax for the formula
=RCHGetTableCell( URL, Cell#, [Find1], [Find2], [Find3], [Find4], [Row#], [EndMarker], [Look#], [ErrorMsg], [Type] )
I am sure that I am using this RCHGetTableCell function incorrectly and would appreciate any guidance.
Thank you.

That's because "shares" all by itself is not a good search term. That word
appears numerous times in the source code of the web page prior to that
table (usually in JavaScript data where a news item is talking about the
number of shares traded on a given day). In this case, the ">" prefix works
great:
=RCHGetTableCell("https://www.google.com/finance?q="&C7, 1, ">Shares")
...although that trick only works on web pages that have their source code
coded that way.

Randy,
I am struggling trying the extract the Current Shiller PE Ratio from this web page:
http://www.multpl.com/shiller-pe/ http://www.multpl.com/shiller-pe/
The figure I want to extract is currently showing 27.32
Any ideas on what might be the best formula to do this?
I had it working for a while with a fairly clumsy one but now I can't seem to get anything to work.
Thanks.

Easiest would seem to be pulling it out of the META tag at the beginning of
the web page:
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(RCHGetWebData("http://www.multpl.com/shiller-pe","Current
Shiller PE Ratio is",40)," is ",","))
...or pull it from the "table" page instead:
=RCHGetTableCell("http://www.multpl.com/shiller-pe/table
",2,"id=""datatable""","<tr","<tr")
