If you open a new workbook, what do you get for:

I think the problem was due to reading off my "flash drive" and it was referring to smf in my other notebook drive.
I copied the files to this notebook desktop and checked/changed the links again in the cell formula....all values appeared...will check it again and report.
Thanks for your quick response, as always..

Hello Randy,
I'm also interested in being able to do this.
When I look at the Zachs screener tool, I can only see a list of predefined screening conditions.
On the left side pane:
Select a criteria: Popilar Criteria, Company descriptors, Size & Price changes, etc.
On the right side pane:
Select items: Zachs rank, Zachs indistry rank, growth score, value score, etc.
But I can't see a way to add a custom criteria such as "Next EPS Report Data" > 0.
Is this possible, or am I missing something?
Many thanks,
Paul

On the left side pane, click on the 7th item down, "EPS surprises and
Actuals". Then the "Next EPS Report Date" is the second item from the
bottom on the right side pane. Change the "EQUAL" to ">" and enter 0 in the
input box next to it, then click the "Add" button. Then you should see a
message in the middle of the screener that says: "Matches: 5896".
Just click on "Run Screen". Since the "Next EPS Report Date" was a
criteria, it's automatically part of the output view. Now just click the
"Export" tab at the top and it'll export a file you can open into EXCEL.
You can also include other fields in the view if you'd like. For example, I
know some people like to use the "Sector" and "Industry" fields.

Randy;
I'm using this to fetch dividend yield from finviz.com;
=RCHGetTableCell("http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t="&smfJoin($D10:$D$16,","),1,"?t="&$D10&"&",">Dividend %")
It does not fetch for certain symbols (GAB, GGT, MORL, CEFL, etc.) because finviz.com doesn't have the info.
Is there an alternate (google?) that would perhaps have the correct and current info?
How would I change the above formula to accomodate this?
Thanks in advance.
You really need a tip jar, or a buy me a drink button, or some way for us to 'financially39; show our appreciation.

You can get the dividend amount and yield from Google Finance with
something like:
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("
https://www.google.com/finance?q="&$C4,"td",1,"Div/Yield"),"~","/"))
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("
https://www.google.com/finance?q="&$C4,"td",1,"Div/Yield"),"/","~"))
...but it will be slower, because you'll need to retrieve a web page for
each ticker symbol.
As far as donations, I always ask people to "Pay it Forward" and donate
some of their profits to a charitable group. That way, it can also get a
little tax break. :)

How can I change this;
=RCHGetTableCell("http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t= http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t="&smfJoin($D10:$D$16,","),1,"?t="&$D10&"&",">Dividend %")
to use this (I just want the yield %);
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("https://www.google.com/finance?q= https://www.google.com/finance?q="&$C4,"td",1,"Div/Yield"),"~","/"))
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("https://www.google.com/finance?q= https://www.google.com/finance?q="&$C4,"td",1,"Div/Yield"),"/","~"))
My tickers are in column 'D'
Would it be something like this;
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("https://www.google.com/finance?q= https://www.google.com/finance?q="&smfJoin($D10:$D$16,","),1,"Div/Yield"),"/","~"))
Thanks in advance

You would do this for row 10:
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("
https://www.google.com/finance?q="&$D10,"td",1,"Div/Yield"),"~","/"))
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("

...and copy the formulas down as needed. One formula per ticker.

Thanks!
=smfConvertData(smfStrExtr(smfGetTagContent("https://www.google.com/finance?q="&$D12,"td",1,"Div/Yield"),"/","~"))/100
works like a charm for row 12!
I had to add the '/100' so it would format correctly.

Just be aware that if you get a #VALUE! result, it may be because the
add-in function is returning "Error"...which can't be divided by 100.

That's ok. I'll just divide by zero in that case.
;-)
