Is there an alternative pricing source I could use where I don't have to worry about this? Yahoo Finance's behavior is a bit of an oddball here.

You can get it from MorningStar (adjusted for splits only?) with something
like:

=INDEX(smfGetCSVFile("

Or, from Google (adjusted for splits only?), with something like:
