Thank you everyone for the answers!!
I think I will be using StrComp(S1,S2,vbTextCompare) in the sort code. This should make the compare case *insensitive*.
Again thanks and hugs from a snowy cold Netherlands.

Subject: [ExcelVBA] Sorting
Lo everyone,
I'm confused.... and having a bad hair day.. Grrrrrrrrr.
A little while ago I wrote asking about sorting.
s part of testing I wrote a random string generator to populate an array.
In a test, two of the string generated were...
S1="Zrfwb49"
2="nufEktFUjbnhT6u4LQ4PqXKJBxv7JjRTcxYvv44EUgf4M42"
Can anyone please tell me why S2 is > S1 please please please ?????
TIA
isa
