Both formulas work fine here. Try the smfForceRecalculation macro (see
LINKS area of the group for more info), as you may have saved a copy of the
web page before you were logged in, which would not contain the data you
need and cause the function to return an error.

Another option would be to get a quote using the EXCEL Web Query dialog, as
the version of IE EXCEL uses may be different than what you are using as a
browser.

The problem is that ca.advfn.com reacts to ticker symbols differently, because of the Canadian default perspective.

If I go there are type in just MCD, it brings up Macarthur Diamonds -- TSX:MCD.

If you want McDonald's, you need to use NYSE:MCD as the ticker symbol.

What do you get for the following:

=RCHGetElementNumber("Version")
=smfGetAParms(27)
=RCHGetElementNumber("MMM",27)

PS: Please keep all add-in related queries on this forum. I found your
message sent to me in my SPAM folder and could easily have deleted it
without ever seeing it.

Daily Prices and TTM Ratio Chart

Posted by: "invesco88" franklin.forward@gmail.com   invesco88

I'm trying to duplicate the chart below in excel using ADVfin quarterly
data and an import of Yahoo daily historical prices for a stock. The
problem I'm running into is that I have two sets of data with different
frequencies (daily prices and quarterly per share data) and I can't seem
to get the daily change in the TTM ratio without manually copy/pasting,
which isn't useful if you have to enter a different ticker with
different quarterly dates. Does anyone have a solution for this? Ideally
it would be easiest to use the RCHCreateComment function to pull it from
a site that has this data available for free but I haven't found a site
that has the daily Price/FCF TTM for free so I'm trying to build this
into my valuation model. Thanks Randy for the Add-in, it's a life saver.

I would retrieve the FCF TTM and the posting date of same, then just align
it up with the daily quotes. You should just be able to do a
MATCH()/INDEX() or VLOOKUP() to find which FCF TTM applies to which
historical quotes dates.
