OK.... it's in enums.
Using [ _Name ] makes an enum hidden.
A good explanation and example is at http://www.cpearson.com/excel/Enums.aspx.
I'd just avoid underscores as a first letter except for that purpose.

I figured it out.
A range name cannot begin with a digit. "000001" as the contents of
strJobNbr fails. "_000001" works just fine.
