Randy,
When I try an copy the formula over and down in the month, 3 month, 6 etc
column it repeat results from week column. What am I doing wrong? Also
formula for YTD ?

When you are doing the dates across a row, you don't want the TRANSPOSE()
function in there. The normal output is across a row. You only need the
TRANSPOSE() if you're changing the output of the smfPricesByDates()
function to go down a column.
For the YTD date, you could do either of:
=DATE(YEAR(C3)-1,12,31)
=EOMONTH(C3,-MONTH(C3))
