Hello Everyone,
Now, since many of the MSN and GOOGLE elements I've used no longer work, I cannot find the RCH Element replacement numbers for the following data pieces:
Quarterly Balance Sheet FQ1 - Goodwill Quarterly Balance Sheet FQ1 - # of Common Shares Outstanding Company Description (write-up)
Thank you for any help.
Regards,
Marc

The AdvFN cross-domains fix (on Tips and FAQS web page) helped several
people get rid of their Google errors. Have you tried it?
I don't think there is another element with company description. This will
pull the business summary from Yahoo's profile page:
=smfGetTagContent(" http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s="&C5,"p",1,">Business
Summary")

Hello Randy,
I am not sure I have the thread that describes the AdvFN cross-domains fix; is it this one?

Also, when I cut & paste =smfGetTagContent(" http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s= http://finance.yahoo.com/q/pr?s="&C5,"p",1,">Business Summary") into the cell, I get an "Error" return.
Thanks for your reply.

Sorry about the link, I merely had to change it to my symbol input cell. :(
Thank you, Randy, for that one...
But the other link, do I have the right Q&A Tips location?

Here's the link from the web site:
Link

- A possible fix for "Error" responses from AdvFN due to a change from a
Windows Update.

Thanks, Randy, though the thread didn't help me. I ended up having to switch every single cell over to alternative RCH locations. The only ones which don't have alternatives are GOODWILL and # of Common Shares Outstanding, two of which you would think all sites would have the ability to pull from.

Marc

Looks like AdvFN has the Goodwill in the "Cost in Excess" line item. So you
could try that element number.
AdvFN also has a "Share Out" line item?
Or, the Yahoo Key Statistics web page has the shares outstanding as an
element number.

Thanks Randy.
YOU fixed it! Thank you for hanging in there with me.
I went to your RCHGetYahooQuotes page, but I did not see Shares Outstanding there. But, were you saying that if I go to the Yahoo Key Statistics web page, there is a way of knowing which code to use? I right mouse clicked the web page element, but it had me swimming in code lines. ;).
Let me know if there is something I am missing. That would be cool to learn, and, I will guess other financial sites have a similar method you will hopefully mention to me.
Thanks,
Marc

Where are the latest add-in and Works-In-Progress files? All I see on the smf group web site are items dated back more than 2 to 3 years. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. Just want to make sure I have the latest add-in and elements.

I don't know what you're looking at -- everything on the SMF web site (not
Yahoo group) in the "Works in Progress" folder is from 2014, not 2 or 3
years old. The front page of the web site has the latest official release,
also from 2014.

The "Read Me" files there, as well as an address at the bottom of these
messages, point to the SMF new web site:
http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF
I was unhappy with how the FILES area was not working on Yahoo groups.
Although they've since fixed a few of those issues. For example, file
descriptions.
