Turns out one of the downsides of the Yahoo Group conversion to an email server is that I no longer have the ability to moderate new members or first-time messages. That means:
1. Anyone can join and spam the group.
2. Anyone that didn't have posting privileges before the conversion can't get them now.
If those become too much of an issue (especially #1), I may shut down and abandon Yahoo Groups.
There are discussion groups set up on Google and groups.io:
groups.io operates very much like Yahoo Groups used operate several years ago.
