Have you changing the calculations settings under File>Options to manual? The only catch is that you have to press f9 to get the smf information/calculation.

Are you able to do EXCEL Web Queries to import data?
One thing you could try is to update the XML reference library in the VBA
project. When I originally wrote the add-in, I used the 5.0 version of the
library. However, many older versions of EXCEL didn't have that reference
library, so I chose to use the 3.0 version instead. If you upgrade it to the
most recent version of the library you have available, it may make a
difference?
It sounds like a recent Windows or EXCEL Update process may have changed
something, but I'd just be guessing...

I don't have Excel 2007; I went right from Excel 2003 on my old machine to Excel 2010 on my new machine.
