Hello,
Wht kind of shop do you have? There are several different kinds of inventory. Fixed Assets are stuff you use in a shop, like equipment, tools, desks, etc. These things you keep and use. Other kinds of inventory you buy to sell or consume, like grease, pencils, or items you buy for resale.
What do you have in mind? Nearly all of it will start from a cash disbursement of some type.
Thanks,
David
