There's a difference between having Excel run in 64-bit mode and running Excel on a 64-bit Winows OS. When you install Excel on a 64-bit Windows system the default is to install in 32-bit mode. I thought about going non-standard and installing the 64-bit Excel but decided against it after reading that not everything works the same.

You're correct. I misread the original post. Actually, there is no 64-bit version of Excel 2007 or Office 2007.
