Hi,
This may be a bit off topic here but I need your expertise please..
If I have 50 stocks in a column with these formulas in another, excel
will hang at time. I suspect this is due to Google seeing too many links
at one time from one ip, and closing off the connection temporarily.
How can I make it eg. "calculate" 5 stocks and rest for a few seconds
before moving down to the next 5 stocks?
Thank you.

Data Question
Posted by: "GregL" lundeen@prtel.com tortise_az
Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:01 am (PST)
I'm a new user and all seems to be working just fine. However, I notice a discrepancy in the data. Can anyone straighten me out:
Here's the function: =RCHGetYahooQuotes("ABC", "d")
This returns a value of .46 When I look at a quote on YAHOO Finance, it shows a dividend of .52
This isn't an isolated case (some quotes are consistent between Y!Finance and SMF Add-In, but many are not) What's up, here? Any ideas?
Thanks, GregL

It's the difference between the forward and trailing amounts. See Dividend
section at:

The $0.52 is an ESTIMATE of what the stock will pay as dividends into the
future. The $0.46 is what the stock HAS PAID as dividends over the past 12
months.
As far as I know, there is no Yahoo code to get the estimated dividend from
the Yahoo CSV interface. They just started carrying that data item in early
2010.

$0.46 appears to be the sumn of the last 4 quarterly divs.
$0.52 appears to be the last quarter ($0.13) annualized 13 x 4 = 52

Intraday data?
Posted by: "Deborah" dcharlotte99@yahoo.com dcharlotte99
Wed Dec 14, 2011 9:00 pm (PST)
I'd like to download historical intra-day data (20 min and 240 min) say the last 1 to 2 months of data for each of those timeframes. Anyone know a way either free or a paid service to do so?
I have access to eSignal, a paid service but not sure about reprogramming the add-in.
Thanks!

BarChart has free intraday data, but not for the length of time you want.
There's a template in the files area that can grab their quotes off of the
chart page.
