Re: Converting cumulative financial data for quarterly cashflow stat

Retrieve the last 5 quarters of data and include the quarterly period number from AdvFN. Put them in sequence. Example
Quarter, Cash From Ops
2 120
1 45
4 220
3 180
2 130
Then, use an IF statement to derive the quarterly amount.
If the quarter is 1, the number is good as is. For all others just take its number and subtract the previous quarter.
For companies reporting twice/year, then if quarter is 2 the number is good as is and for period 4 its still right to subtract the previous period (which is 2). There is an indicator on AdvFN about the number of reporting periods.
I don't know what you mean about "overlapping periods" or non-uniform segments.

perfect.
Thank you. I was using 1 instead of 0 which kept throwing me off.
