I may have missed this in other posts but I am getting an "Error" only in the last column of Yahoo Key Stats using excel 2007, 2016 and 2019. Columns 1 & 2 work fine.

I've tried adding 972 from RCHGetElementNumber(Ticker,972) into a working column cell unsuccessfully.

I'm not sure if Microsoft's choke-hold "Permissions" on everything has anything to do with it, or perhaps Yahoo made some changes to the Stats page, but any suggestions would be appreciated?

The key information I need is Beta.

The template is working for me, so I'll assume you haven't updated your
smf-elements-2.txt file, with the June updates?

I'm still using Excel 2007 (& Office 2007) WITHOUT "THE BENEFIT" of MS Support.

Happy camper.

Won't touch 365. Or Win10.

Apologies if anyone takes offense at these potentially 'political' statements. :-)

It's compatible with Office 365. That's what I currently use. I have no interest in extending it to other platforms. Not even sure it would be possible.

Microsoft is slowly dropping support for its standalone Office products. For example, Office 2010's extended support stops in Oct. 2020 and Office 2016 support stops in Oct 2025, I think.

I don't have hands-on knowledge with the following (using Excel 2013) but was wondering if SMF is compatible with -

1. Office 365

2. LibreOffice Calc

3. Google Sheets

I'm guessing 2 & 3 are not. If not. have you ever considered making SMF versions for these two? I'm *not* trying to add to your workload - really :~) - but I am trying to plan ahead re SMF.

Has anyone looked at or subscribed to AAII (American Association of Individual Investors) "Stock Investor Pro"?

I looked at Guru Focus and also felt it was pricey. AAII have a better priced 'weekly' update with 7 years of data and tons of other data fields. I was just wondering if Randy has ever came across it and can it be accessed with a subscription.
Thank you Randy.

If you're an SI Pro subscriber, then gtr1.net/2013 essentially provides an
API for building customized spreadsheets (with no size constraints) with
AAII data and derived computations. As the developer of the backtester,
I'm aware that some automate this, with which I have no problems. As for
whether the whole process could be completely automated and encapsulated
into SMF functions, I have no idea, but you're certainly welcome to try..

The backtester is discussed at

I have a lifetime membership with AAII, since 2001. I used to have a
subscription to their Stock Investor Pro a long time ago, last used in
2009. Over 13 years, I spent about $1800 for their updates. Then I decided
I could get the information I needed from the Internet more easily. I used
to have EXCEL user-defined formulas that would extract data directly from
the SIP databases, much like how the add-in pulls in data from the
Internet. Except that the data was always available and faster to retrieve
because it was local.

In fact, I have a routine in the add-in I was initially using to create
local databases of Internet data. The RCHGetElementNumber() function even
has a parameter that would route the retrieval to the local databases
instead of retrieving it from the Internet. It made calculation a lot
faster for those data items I used often.

I also am a subscriber to Portfolio123. However, I was grandfathered in at
a lower subscription plan because I subscribed to their old Screener123
product.
