Second day in a row that my Excel grid is populated largely with 0 values for 'open' early in the session.

Yesterday (Monday), it took about 15 minutes for the more active issues to show non zero values.

At 10 min into today's session, SPY had a zero value for open; now at 15 min it finally has it. About 20% of my symbols (mostly actively traded) still do not.

So .... to Yahoo ... how can you show HLC but not the O ?? I know they don't read this, and this isn't an issue for Randy ... but I will ask if anyone else is encountering anything similar in the way of partial data fills. TIA.

As far as I can tell from File>Options>Add-Ins, the add-in is installed in the right place: C:\Program Files\SMF Add-in. That's where it was before I started having problems.

Right now I have an even bigger problem. When I try to update my table all cells holding the array formula are returning double dashes. Is that because Yahoo is not responding or ....?

One reason that can happen is a symbol has become invalid. Most of the
time, Yahoo handles that OK. But every once in a while, it means some
things don't get processed and returned.

All symbols are OK. What I've discovered is if I enable logging, then use smfForceRecalculation to update the table, all the cells holding the array formula return a double dash. If I immediately disable logging, then smfForceRecalculation updates the table virtually instantaneously. I can open the log file from the context menu, but it only has ancient entries dating back to June, 2016 which I suppose is when I first used it.

Evidently, I've been operating w/o logging for quite awhile, so I'm going to continue in that mode, thankful that table update time is vastly improved. And, of course, along with the rest of this group, eternally thankful for your generous devotion of time and the extraordinary skills you provide so graciously!

Hey Randy,

what constitutes and addin query at GuruFocus? I'm trying to figure out which membership I am going to need.

is all the data for one ticker a query? or is each individual piece of data a query?

The query limit is using THEIR EXCEL add-in and THEIR API interface:

Hi Randy,

I pulled up my sheet today and was met with nothing but "Error" in the cells. Most of my equations use AdvFn definitions and looking through the threads, it seems there is a problem. Are all of the AdvFn definitions gone forever? And if so, is there an alternate source?

Thanks,
Brent

I saw that thread Randy, thanks. Just wanted to double check. Do think there's any chance of it coming back? I'm so screwed. 6 years of trending data based all on the advfn definitions.

What sources do work to pull in financial statement information?

Thanks,
Brent

I don't do much with financial statements information these days. When I
do, I typically go to GuruFocus or Portfolio123. Neither are free.
