From the Files Section, Uploads by Members, I downloaded the file 1000
Input Tickers with RCHGetYahooQuotes.
I substituted tickers such as NBG with WIPRO.NS but no data is being
captured.
I checked the link to the ticker:
http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=NBG+Interactive#symbol=NBG;range=5d
NBG occurs at two locations.
If I overtype WIPRO.NS on NBG, and refresh, shouldn't I be able to capture
the data? But I get no data.
If I substitute NBG by WIPRO.NS manually and copy this link:
http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=WIPRO.NS+Interactive#symbol=WIPRO.NS;range=5d
to a browser, the correct page opens.
How can I modify the Input Ticker formula to get a thousand *.NS ticker
information?
Thanks for any inputs.
With best regards,

It looks like WIPRO.NS cannot be used, because Yahoo doesn't provide the
data for it. You can verify this yourself by going to the summary page:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=WIPRO.NS
...and clicking on the "Download Data (delayed)" link towards the bottom of
the page. That link is fed by the same CSV file that RCHGetYahooQuotes()
uses. When I click on that link, I get a zero for the price and an "N/A"
for all of the other fields.

You are right as usual. There is no data in the csv file.
How about the MStar 10 yr FinStat RCH Table Cell.xls file in the same
folder?
I enter tickers XNSE:WIPRO, XNSE:AXISBANK, XNSE:LUPIN but get no data here
too.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I don't see such a file. I see one for MSN, but I don't think MSN covers
Indian stocks, do they?
However, it looks like the MorningStar item in the LINKS area of the Yahoo
group does apply...?

The downloadable CSV file is here:
http://financials.morningstar.com/income-statement/is.html?t=XNSE%3aWIPRO for
XNSE:WIPRO (Export csv file at the right corner).
Yes, MSN doesn't cover Indian stocks.
But the present file links to MorningStar and pulls the data.
I was wondering how I could modify the file already in the Files section
and change ticker to get the data.

Right, which is what the item in the LINKS area of the Yahoo group refers to.
> But the present file links to MorningStar and pulls the data.
OK, you mean the
"RCHGetTableCell-Template-Morningstar-Financial-Statements.xls" file.
It's obsolete, now that they present the data on a dynamic web page. I
just pulled it out of the Templates folder. But you can grab the CSV
export files they have available now, which is detailed in the item in
the LINKS area of the Yahoo group.
> I was wondering how I could modify the file already in the Files section and change ticker to get the data.
It's possible, but not trivial. Easier to pull in the CSV files and
extract the data out of that array.
For example, I think this is the source page they load the financial
data from when they produce the dynamic web page:
http://financials.morningstar.com/financials/getFinancePart.html?t=XNSE:WIPRO
...and you can see it's not an easy page to extract data from. It's "raw" data.

Randy,
I searched your old posts to figure out that I need to login to IBD using IE in order for some for the functions to work.
Is there a way to automatically login (using a macro perhaps) to IBD, if I'm not already logged in, everytime I open my workbook (or perhaps with the press of a button)?
Thx
YP

You may be able to write your own VBA routine to do it. I didn't want to
make that type of routine part of the add-in.
It isn't something you have to do every time you use a workbook. I don't
think I've logged in to IBD for several months, and the security cookie is
still valid.

Sounds right. I know if I use IBD with FireFox, it "logs me out" of my
IE login. So you can probably only be logged in from one place at a
time. Probably so people don't "share" a subscription.
