Thanks Randy. In fact the question should have been, where can I download the latest version of SMF ? I do not remember how I have downloaded my actual version ...

Regards, Ton.

Thanks and no thanks Randy. Let's say I'm a firsttime SMF user and want to start using SMF. Therefore I must download the SMF environment. Where can I find this software ?
Should be a simple URL ...

Regards, Ton.

If someone can't navigate the FILES area of the group, they aren't going to
be able to use the add-in...

There are too many things in the FILES and LINKS area of the group that
SHOULD BE referred to.

New year problems Randy ? You really think this is a normal answer ? I know how to navigate the files area of a group but I suppose that an informatician like you should have put a central help file for the SMF environment. From there I can manage the problem. In stead of having to look everywhere in order to find what I need. Anyway I will have to go back to my cURL world where this exists ... Frankly I just don't understand this answer and would never have expected this from you.

Regards, Ton.

Item #3 shows the old element definition...

Several element definition files were changed after the 2013.10.17 add-in
release.

Sorry to continue to use up your time but not sure what I am doing wrong. Do I need to replace the txt files as well as the excel files when updating?

Fri Jan 3, 2014 9:05 am (PST) . Posted by:

Yes. Some of the smf-elements-*.txt files have been updated since the
add-in was last updated. The upload dates on the files should tell you
which ones.

Randy, how can I use RCHGetElementNumber to pull in Morn* Corporate Credit Ratings. Or should I use one of the other tools? Phil

There's no element definition for that item. If I understand what you're
after, I think this will do the trick:

=RCHGetTableCell(smfstrExtr(smfGetTagContent("
http://quicktake.morningstar.com/stocknet/bonds.aspx?symbol=MMM","td",-1,"iframe"),"src=""",""""),1,"Credit
Rating","<tr")

Randy - That gives the results I'm looking for. How do I replace the stock ticker MMM with ticker in reference cell. I tried replacing MMM with cell A5, but received error.

Just use normal EXCEL concatenation:

"http://quicktake.morningstar.com/stocknet/bonds.aspx?symbol=" & A5
