Thanks, Randy.
When you say "by logging in with either the EXCEL Web Query dialog", does
this mean writing a VBA program to input the log-in data and then bring up
the right page? Do you have any sample code for this?
Thanks
Ken

10 periods are only available if you're a member and have created the
necessary IE security cookie, by logging in with either the EXCEL Web Query
dialog (preferred) or with IE.
Otherwise, the non-member default is 5 periods.

Changing this column number seems to have no effect on the output.

Just use the keyboard shortcut alt+d+d+w to open up the EXCEL Web Query
dialog, log in, and then cancel out of the dialog. You may need to do that
daily, not to log in, but to visit the web site, because MorningStar is one
of those websites that has a redirection (usually for advertising) on your
first visit of the day.

Can't find anything in the docs referring to this. Can the existing =smfGetOptionQuotes( ticker&" "& Mon&" year"&" $"&strike&" Call", "l")
be modified to return weeklies?
Thanks,
Michael

Instead of "Mon", you can give it the exact expiration date. For example:
=smfGetOptionQuotes("SPY 12/13 2013 $180 Call","b")

Hi Guys,
Thanks alot for reading my post.
I think this is more of my IE9 issue. I am using IE9 and windows 7 pro.
I am using activeX webbrowser embeded in excel to stream realtime futures charts of the following url from investing.com:
http://charts.investing.com/index.php?pair_ID=8984×cale=3600&print_title_table=No&candles=150
The charts load up nicely.
However the charts are supposed to update every 10-15s but it did not. Running the url directly in IE also have the same problem but it works/refresh in Chrome and Firefox.
Hope some of you guys may be able to figure out how to solve the issue. I think should be something to do with IE9 settings
Thanks alot
