I found a message saying to look in "Links", but don't see Links (Old Yahoos format?)
Thanks for any help.

I just opened up some spreadsheets that are a couple years old and the 10 year financials data isn't importing. I looked through the elements list and it looks like nobody is offering that anymore for an import feed (for free at least). The closest thing was some scant MSN 10 year info. Not enough though.

The following 10-year templates work fine for me:
http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Templates/SMF-Template-MSN-10-Year-Summaries.xls
http://ogres-crypt.com/SMF/Templates/smfGetAdvFNElement-Template-Specific-Line-Items.xls
...and as far as I know, people are accessing the 10 years of data on
GuruFocus.
You may need to update your version of the add-in and element definitions.
Because of changes on their sites over the past few years, I did have to
make program changes for AdvFN and redefine MSN elements.

Those templates do work good, thanks for the tip. The only problem is they have limited 10 year financial data. I do want something more comprehensive like on GuruFocus. The only problem is I don't see any call functions for GuruFocus data on my RCHGetElementNumber-Element-Definitions.xls.
Is GuruFocus on there somwhere? I did a control-F and searched GuruFocus but nothing comes up.

No elements have been defined for GuruFocus, but there are a few models in
the "Uploaded by Forum Members" folder in the files area of the Yahoo group.
AdvFN data goes back to 1993 or so, but elements were only defined for 10
annual periods and 20 quarterly periods. The AdvFN template I cited earlier
goes back the full history of available data, but it doesn't use
RCHGetElementNumber(). For ticker MMM, that template has 21 annual periods
and 81 quarterly periods.
I no longer define elements for financial statements. They're next to
impossible to update when the data source makes changes, because the new
line item definitions don't match correctly -- new ones are added, old ones
are deleted, some are called the same thing but mean something different,
etc.

I think I just realized you're the creator. Thanks a lot, these spreadsheets are excellent! I'll be playing with them tonight. Have a good holiday.

Not sure what to tell you. I just tried all three formulas I had sent,
copied and pasted them back into EXCEL. All three worked as expected.
Did you go to the web page using IE, so their "agreement" cookie has been
set? Otherwise, any access to their website will send you to the
"agreement" web page, and not to the data pages.
