Hello Randy,

7/13/2014

Using this formula " =RCHGetYahooQuotes($F$1,"l1red") ", across the horizontal cells A1:D1, works really easy.

However, I would like to use the cells down a column, example use: A1: A5, instead of A1:D1.

I have not been able to do it, Randy do you know a way to use the A1:A5 cells? if so please list the steps, so that I may duplicate it.

Randy, any suggestions, I am sure there is a very simple solution, however I don't know how to do it. I hope your answer helps others.

Thanks.

Try:

=TRANSPOSE(RCHGetYahooQuotes($F$1,"l1red",,,,1,4))

The "1,4" tells the function to create a 1 row by 4 column array.
Otherwise, it sets the array size to the range you are array-entering the
formula over. Then, it's just a matter of transposing the results.

Randy,

You are amazing, I do not know how you keep all these excel tricks in your head.

You are an amazing a human computer.

I hope you make a ton of money in the stock market. As for me my first stock pick "EXC", Exelon has been a dud. I bought at $39, and am down quite a bit. I keep hoping they grow their eps, so they will raise their dividends.

With Fed funds at basically zero for the last 6 years, I am retired and been forced to look for dividend yield, as my income in my retirement.

Randy you are a great help. I wish I were better at investing. I am daily trying to learn and do a better job investing my retirement income in dividend stocks.

I do not know what I would do without your help.

Randy, thank you so much. This will help me a lot.
