When you download daily stock market info in Excel using MSN Money Central, using Data Query, it used to accept 100 stock symbols at a time for various data.

Now it looks like it can accept 50 symbols only...Anyone experienced this?

thanks,
Shankar

I use MSN portmanager to view all my listings. Since Jun 23 2013 it does not up date the data.. It shows all my stocks but does not update the prices.

Just tried to update a spreadsheet of 110 stocks. Only five gave new values. All did so a week ago. Most of them give result of 'VALUE'; rest give '-'.

Hey Randy

I just tried some MSN codes from the
RCHGetElementNumber-Element-Definitions in the SMF folder.

I used code 25 for last price and it worked

Then I used codes 27 and 1088 for the 3 month performance and both gave errors. Am I getting errors because the codes are invalid or because something is wrong with my excel?

Considering that last price code (25) worked, I thought the others would work. The same situation occured when trying to do the price performance sheet with arrays v4. The price is updated, but the performance from yahoo gives me #NA after processing for 10 mins.

Thanks

MSN appears to have dropped their performance measures from the stock print
page, which is why element #27 (and similar element numbers) won't work.
Element #25 still has the issue it's had for the last year -- it's the
previous day's closing price, not the last traded price. Because that's
what MSN is posting as "Last Price".

Element #1088 comes from an ETF website, so it won't work for stocks.

The v4 spreadsheet recalculates almost immediately for me.
