Halo temans,
Saya mau mengadakan Lomba Kring PBB 2020 dengan kriteria pemberian
tambahan penghargaan yang baru, hanya saya bingung perkaliannya spt
apa yang benar ya. Di excel yang saya sertakan (versi 2013) sdh saya
beri komen di cell yang diperlukan.

Many of my excel files that include the add-in no longer retrieve date (I just get a '-')


It doesn't seem to be my version of the add-in or excel and the below template (SMF-Template-Yahoo-Estimates.xls) from your ogres-crypt.com is pulling in data okay.

A template that shows the data elements from the Yahoo Analyst Estimates page. Basically, this is just element numbers 553 through 700 in a format similar to that found on the Yahoo web page.





However, the below template (smfGetAdvFNElement-Template etc..) no longer retrieves data.

It may well be just that the problem is at the data source end, which is no longer publishing the data or in a format that is retrievable by the add-in.If so, would you or anyone in the forum be able to share another reliable data source for historic company financial information (Income, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements).


There used to be a template for these also for Morningstar data, but this also no longer retrieves any data.

Sorry, but I have no idea what you're asking?

But the add-in does require a bookmarkable URL, so it can't retrieve
something that requires an interactive click on something and then
dynamically updates the page without some type of accessible data request.

Likely a location error. When you save a workbook, EXCEL stores a
hard-coded location of the add-in. Now, when you open the workbook, if the
add-in is in a different location that the hard-coded location, it marks it
as an unresolved link and doesn't point to the add-in. This can happen
whenever you go to a different machine and the add-in is in a different
location on the new machine.

The best solution is to use the smfFixLinks macro. Then, when you save the
workbook on your new machine, it should save the hard-coded location of the
add-in on your new machine. Then, next time it opens, it will find the
add-in and mark it as a resolved link.

The activated add-in location should never be in the "Roaming" folder,
since that is for temporary copies (i.e. "Roaming") of files being used by
applications.

Thank you very much for your reply.



Actually I use the same computer with just new office 2019 installed. I have both excel 2007 and 2019 installed. Smf add-in still works very fine in excel 2007 but not 2019, though i used same path for the add-in.


And, Smf add-in can work in excel 2019, but i have to deactivate the add-in and re-activate whenever enter excel2019.

Another possibility is that Microsoft instituted security protocols several
years ago that got in the way of downloaded add-ins being loaded. Maybe
they've done something similar in EXCEL 2019? One solution was to unblock
the XLA file, similar to what is described here (although the SMF add-in
doesn't involve the ribbon):

Those "More Statistics" section of the page is dynamically generated based
on scripting data within the page. For example:

....pretax_margain:25.27,roic:p_,wacc:8.05,roc:p_,sales:pr,eps:lw,beta:1.13,volatility:35.63...

So beta would be extracted with:

=smfStrExtr(RCHGetWebData("https://www.gurufocus.com/stock/AAPL/summary
","beta:"),":",",",1)

Unfortunately, the "Analyst Estimates" section is dynamically generated
based on data that is retrieved using an API that requires authentication,
so the add-in can't get at that data.

I have used smf for many years (using excel 2007). I installed excel 2019 yesterday. When i activated smf add in, it failed to do so. Excel cell contained a long path "C:\Users\Chicago\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns..." and failed to download price. I unchecked the add-in and rechecked, and it works. However, when i close and open excel, the problem pops up again. In other words, i have to uncheck/recheck active smf addin whenever i open excel.
