Randy,

Thanks again for your help over the years. It has proved extremely profitable.

Is there anyway to pick off the "Potential Capital Gains Exposure" off of the new M* website under the Price tab? I know M* has changed their presentation but I can't locate any other website for the information. The old website still works but I can't figure out how to get the data.

I'm also trying to figure out how to capture the "Longest Tenure" off the People tab too.

You've been answering my personal questions for perhaps 10 years and I hope this site (or some equivalent site) will continue. You have been truly kind with all of your help!

Thanks again!

Joel

Unfortunately, Morningstar is now generating most of their web pages, after
retrieving data from an API. And that API call requires credentials, so the
add--in, as-is, can no longer get at that data.

Yahoo Groups is severely curtailing its capabilities, but it is not
shutting down completely. Since add-in downloads haven't used Yahoo
servers for a long time, the fact that email is supposed to keep working
probably means that most Group participants won't even notice anything
different. Having said all that, there is of course no guarantee on
further changes. If there is anything you want in the Files section of
the Group website, make sure you download it by Dec. 14.

Here's the notice on the Group website and a link to additional
information:/
/

/Attention: Starting December 14, 2019 Yahoo Groups will no longer host
user created content on its sites. New content can no longer be uploaded
after October 28, 2019. Sending/Receiving email functionality is not
going away, you can continue to communicate via any email client with
your group members./

Yahoo groups will be an email delivery system, but they won't be saving
copies of the emails in any kind of archives like we currently have.

To run a macro from the add-in, just bring up the macro dialog (alt+F8) and
type in the name of the macro.

There's a link on the Tips and FAQs web page discussing this macro.

The best place to test web page is within EXCEL, because it uses a
different browser object than the stand-alone products. It's the "From Web
(Legacy)" tool in EXCEL.

In all likelihood, installing the new version of the add-in was a
roundabout way of resetting the VBA environment within EXCEL, so it ended
up needing to retrieve a new copy of the web page (which is what
smfForceRecalculation does without all that work). Simple exiting and
restarting EXCEL would also reset the VBA environment.
