Penyebabnya bisa jadi :
1. Area range yang tidak kosong sangat luas, bahkan mungkin sampai kolom terkanan atau baris terbawah. Tidak kosong bisa berupa custom style atau hasil copy paste values suatu nullstring sekalipun, termasuk conditional formatting atau data validation, custom cells style yang terlalu banyak dan sebagainya.

2. Ada object yang tergeser sampai jauh dikolom terkanan. Object bisa bisa berupa shapes atau controls (hidden maupun tidak, dengan width atau height berapapun)
Sebaiknya worksheet dibersihkan lebih dulu.
Ketika data hanya ada di c7:g23 misalnya, tapi ketika ctrl g special last cells tidak di g23, maka buang (delete rows dan columns) setelah g23.

Terima kasih banyak Expert atas suggestionnya.
Di hari yang sama pada tgl saya meminta advise, saya mencoba mengikuti apa yg tertulis dimessage dgn upgrade memory ke 64-bit version of Microsoft Excel. Dan bersyukur akhirnya saya bisa melanjutkan adding up the columns.
Kedepan jika ada masalah yang berulang, saya akan cek sesuai arahan expert di bawah.

Beda Excel 32bit dengan 64bit pada kasus ini adalah pada maksimal RAM yang bisa digunakan Excel Application. Excel 32bit max 2GB, dan Excel 64bit max 4GB.
Sebuah workbook format xlsx sampai 250MB jika padat dan efisien, tetap bisa insert column di Excel 32bit.
Tapi workbook hanya 40MB tapi tidak efisien, bisa jadi tidak akan bisa insert column di excel 64bit (apalagi di excel 32bit).
Jadi file Anda masih berisi masalah.
Pindah ke Excel 64bit bukan solusi walau bisa insert column.
Jadi tetap sebaiknya dicek ulang seperti poin di imil lalu.
