Hi,

I am wondering if there is a way to export financials from Morningstar.com
without decreasing decimal places? I meant, by typing some special
instructions in the url of Morningstar.com to do it. One other way is to
increase the decimal place by clicking on the button situated on the
financials page and then hit "export" to bring on to your computer.

But I am just wondering?

Thanks,

Hi Randy.... If you recall, I had a problem getting elements numbers 848, 850, 13885, 13888 to pull data from Zacks-com because my Windows Vista PC uses Internet Explorer 9.

I found a workaround and those element numbers worked fine for one week. Today, only 13885 and 13888 are working correctly. Element numbers 848 and 850 are returning "Error".

Any suggestions? Did Zacks change something again?

Yup. Zacks changed things again. I had two problems:

1. On the first visit to the web site, they redirect to an ad splash page.
A cookie is necessary to avoid that, so you need to visit Zacks with IE to
have that cookie created. The add-in doesn't "process" a URL, it just
retrieves the source code of a web page.

2. They have changed the content of the web page. To get Zack's Rank and
Industry:

=smfConvertData(smfstrExtr(smfGetTagContent("
https://www.zacks.com/stock/quote/"&B7,"p",1,"Zacks Rank:"),"~","-"))

=SUBSTITUTE(smfGetTagContent("https://www.zacks.com/stock/quote/"&B11,"a",-1,"Industry:"),"Industry:
","")

I'll need to review Zacks elements when Yahoo things get settled. Word of
the month: "overwhelmed".
