Hi Randy
The GetYahooPV add-in is working for me mostly, except that for many issues I am not getting Element 18, "open". I am for some/more than few. Not for most. The problem is recent, from mid summer or so.
On my (older) FF browser, when I go to SPY at YF, I see 0.00. But using IE, there is an accurate Open quote. So by website, YF display seems to be browser dependent. YF responded to my help ticket saying 'update your browser.' OK ... fine if I was relying on data from the web page directly.
But the add-in is installed in Excel. Is it relying in any way on a browser to fetch? And if so, which browser and if its using my default (FF), can that be modified? I will not update FF because of other considerations.

Thanks and sorry to mark up a clean sheet on the day!

Pieter

They've had an issue with open prices (on and off?) for a while now.

The question is not whether you see it on the equity web page, but whether
you see it within the Yahoo Portfolio web page. The
smfGetYahooPortfolioView() function uses the file that they use to feed
that web page.

That's also why I have no ability to add any fields to the function. I can
only use the fields they use to feed their portfolio web page.

The add-in doesn't use any particular browser, but it does use the same
Internet engine that is used by IE. Because IE and Windows and EXCEL are
all Microsoft products, so they all use the same Internet interface.
