This really puzzles me. I have a number of worksheets with this smfPricesBetween() function and others as well. Some days, the functions work fine. Other days, like today, when I manually update, the only things I get are blank dates and 0 prices. I don't know if this is (1) an Excel issue, (2) smfPricesBetween() issue, (3) Yahoo data issue, (4) other issue.

If I take the same workbook to another computer, and manually update it, it works fine. So, this tells me that there's something with this one computer and/or Excel on this computer.

My workbook is 500MB in size and has several worksheets- some worksheets are used to download data, while others are used to analyze those data and a couple of worksheets are used to display the data and show embedded graphs.

I don't know if anyone can help, but I just want to know what could be causing the problem... I need the data to be downloaded.

Thanks in advance.

Does the erroneous computer typically get run at a different time of day?
Most of the time that I would get bad historical quotes, it would be early
in the morning, when Yahoo was updating things.

Didn't matter what time of the day it is. I've tried at various times, and it still doesn't work.

I just don't get it.

Have you tried an immediate smfForceRecalculation? Same results, or does it
then update?

No unresolved links, right?

Hi,

I'm new to smf, I was wondering if there's any chance to retrieve real time volume values.

Many thanks.

As I understand it, if you sign up for real time values and are logged in
via IE, RCHGetYahooQuotes() will return real-time values. Otherwise, if you
have a data source, we could see if the add-in can retrieve the data.

Do you know of any site and/or a formula where I can extract the US$ vs CDN$ exchange rate?

Thx a lot.

Use RCHGetYahooQuotes(). The ticker symbols would be USDCAD=X or CADUSD=X.

I'm trying to pull last 10 year values from the data source MorningstarAR for instance RCHGetElementNumber 14030 but I'm only coming up with either blank numbers or for P/S (14007), I get errors.

Did something change with morningstar?

Looks like they changed the webpage. It's now dynamically produced, so the
data is no longer available to the add-in.
