Hello Randy
Have followed the intro you have written for working with options data:
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/smf_addin/message/17234
When I get to step 5 and copy the expression "=smfGetOptionQuotes($C9,D$7,,$B$3)" across cells "D9:F18" I do not get any options prices? Rather, i get the following text:
"Last Price Bid Price Ask Price"
I have installed the RCH add-in file and have been happily using the "simple" GetYahooQuotes for many years.
Have I missed a vital step?
Many thanks
Ben

Apologies for confusion.

What did you get in cells C9:C18, and what did you get when you first
entered the formula in cell D9?

Hi,
I wanted to use the morning star data from key ratios and
valuation tabs. I didn't find any of these in the
'RCHGetElementN
to include these numbers?
Thanks,

MorningStar has been changing all of their web pages to be dynamic. That
means the add-in functions can't get the data from those web pages, because
it extracts data from the source code of the web page.
However, you can grab their CSV file, by array-entering this formula over a
range:
=smfGetCSVFile("
http://financials.morningstar.com/ajax/exportKR2CSV.html?t=MMM")
...and then referring to that range of data for your desired data items.

In addition to being a member of this excellent group I moderate several
groups. I hate this new groups format. It is almost unusable.
If you are like me, you probably did not know we even had a vote in what we
like or dislike on Yahoo.
I think it is great they provide us a say so on changes. If we get enough to
vote maybe they will reverse the change
Attention all members: PLEASE go to this links and vote to have the new
groups format changed back to its previous version.
The first link has 44,946 votes already but more are needed to convince
Yahoo the new group format is not useable.

The second link will take you to more posting if you want to vote more than
once.

Thank you for voting,
Kermit Prather
