I tried the latest version, and only a few years of data was viewable - even when I clicked on 10 years in the dropdown menu. Toby

Toby,
I just downloaded it and it works fine for me.
Did you remember to hit "calculate now" or F9 as described on the
"Notes" tab?
If you are still having problems, please give me the ticker and
the number of years that you entered and I'll see if I can
replicate the issue.

Randy, thanks, this seems to be the case.
It seems that the data of the server, or at least the data, the
function is acessing is different from the link that you had sent
to me above. Do you know if there is a way to force the function
to service a specific server mirror?
Might this depend on the location that I am, such that using a
proxy might help?

I suppose the most logical place would be stepping through the
VBA code itself, seeing what the add-in is receiving and how it
is interpreting it.
Otherwise, just looking at the download files the web page
produces.
In the past, inconsistencies have typically been the result of
not all Yahoo servers not being updated. Then, the data returned
would be dependent on which server serviced the request. But,
then, results are sporadically wrong instead of consistently
wrong.

Thanks a lot, even making some different test, changing operating
systems, the language, etc., the problem persists. Strangely the
data retrieved from the site with RCHGetYahooHistor does not
match with http://finance.
where this inconsistency is coming from? Any further idea?
Is there anybody else having this problem?

I don't know of a way to access a particular server. And no clue about the
proxy.

Thank you very much for your response.
I used the full URL for MMM above in my browser and it went to
the desired page.
I then went to the Stock Valuation Spreadsheet and from the
Dashboard page entered the MMM ticker and the spreadsheet went
through the calculations, but there was NO financial data
transferred to the StatementsData page or DCF page or DCF
Valuation or Statements page. I went back to the Dashboard and
picked on open cell and entered =smfGETAParms(
returned the same string of information that you listed.
Thanks for working with me on this problem. Please let me know
your thoughts.

Interesting. And frustrating. When I go to:
http://fulldisclosu
...I am indeed redirected to reuters.com <http://reuters.
However, if I use:
http://fulldisclosu
...I am not. That is the URL used by element #1421, which is
working here.
You can always check to see the definition loaded for a
particular element with:
=smfGetAParms(
...which for me currently returns:
Earnings;Dividends -- Amount --
1;http://fulldisclosu
<http://fulldisclosu
;>Upcoming;
But if element #1421 is not working for you with that definition,
I'm not sure what to tell you. If you use the full URL for MMM
above, in your browser, do you get to the desired page? Or are
you redirected to reuters.com <http://reuters.

I have been using the Old School Spreadsheet for over a year and
have always kept up to date with all the latest work in
process changes you have issued. It had been a few weeks since I
last used the spreadsheet and noticed that I know longer was
getting and data transfers loaded. I saw your post concerning
smf-elements-
done before with other changes you have authored. I made sure
that EXCEL was not running when I went into the C:SMF folder to
install the new element file. I am using EXCEL-2003 and have not
had any problems before doing updates. Also if I click onÂ
fulldisclosure.

Do you use IE as your browser? Or, can you try the full URL in the EXCEL
Web Query dialog and see if the desired page comes up there? That should be
the definitive test.
What "financial data" are you getting from fulldisclosure.com? I'm
surprised anything there could be used for DCF.
