It should affect both machines if that was the issue...I interpreted his
problem as only one machine was giving errors, while the other one worked
OK.

Watch Cody's video
Not sure if this helps but I just put a quick video together on eliminating the hard coded location when downloading files. I believe the sheets must be unprotected to make changes.

the problem seems to be specific to the workbook; if I open a new workbook on the same problem PC and paste the same formula, it works. In fact, the problem workbook does work intermittently. it is a huge spreadsheet which I have to recalc manually. strange that it is an intermittent problem - once it returns an error for a symbol, it constantly returns an error - until I re-open the workbook. strange. I'd rather not have to rebuild the workbook

Hi all, I'm having tough times trying to open the aforementioned cash flow model uploaded by user "stu00537" under the "Templates by Users" tab. When I opened the spreadsheet Excel prompted me to "enable links" and update the source which i did but to no avail. Please help and thank you.

See this video just posted today by another user of the add-in:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSv-HLA1Rqo
I usually just run the smfFixLinks macro (a macro within the add-in that I
have assigned to a toolbar button). It does the same "find and replace"
without needing you to do anything other than run the macro.
I haven't found the "Update the source" process to work consistently in the
past, so I never do it.

How about providing some details?
When you click on a cell copy and paste the content into your next email.
Send me your file as is. I'll look it over. Tell me where did you install the addin? What folder? Which drive?
Send the failing file directly to me at kermitp@tampabay.rr.com
