Hello Iscottedgar,


My name is Rene, I have windows 10 and am using excel 2010.


I am one of those who can not run Randy's smf-addin without going to excel options -> Add-Ins -> un-clicked smf-addin, then go back to the spreadsheet, then go back to options -> add-Ins -> then re-click smf-addin


Do you have a suggestion? I followed your link above and tried to read the web page it seems so much over my head of understanding.


I added the C:\Programs\SMF-addin to the Options ->Trust Center ->


This did not help.


Do have any ideas or maybe just wait to see if Microsoft will fix the ability to again use Randy's smf-addin?

Hello,


Find the xla file. (RCH_Stock_Market_Functions.xla) then: Right-click the file, and choose Properties.
On the General tab, click Unblock. (at the bottom)
Click OK.
That should do it.

What I have found that works for me is to open a file with no formulas (I use a file that I use for vlookup of data, but it could just be a blank file) and then run the SMF Force Recalc function before I open a file with lots of SMF add-in functions and it works fine.

Me too...I can not get my smf-addin to work, I have windows 10 and excel 2010.


File -. Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings ->Trusted Locations


I have added the C:\Program Files\SMF Add-In.... to the Trusted Locations

Still does not work.


Please let me know if you get it work.

I too have [Windows 10/Excel 2013] and can not get the smf-addin to work unless I File -. Add-Ins click the smf-addin off, then go back and click the add-in on again.


I tried this but it did not work,


You can unblock access for individual files you know are safe. To do this: Right-click the file, and choose Properties.
On the General tab, click Unblock.
Click OK.

Or, Did you save your files to 1 of the trusted location already existing or create a trusted location folder for SMF-Addin and put your excel files there.

The only thing I did to solve the problem was to unblock the .XLA file provided in the SMF-Addin from Randy's website.

This is from Microsoft:

The best option is to move away from using HTML wrapped as .XLS. If you use native formats (e.g. XLS, XLSX, XLSB) which will open in protected view when untrusted, this will provide some level of protection from the documents being opened.

1.You can unblock access for individual files you know are safe. To do this:

3.Click OK
