Re: [ExcelVBA] Re: AutoTransfer

I'm really sorry.
I tried finding my previous response... but it wasn't in the 9,500 emails!
I must've "cleaned up"... but the 9,500 figure doesn't make it sound like THAT'S likely!
I usually put the files in a temp folder that sometimes gets cleared on a reboot,
because the files aren't mine to keep, so I clear them out periodically.

So,
I tried to read through my previous email, but it would help if you could send me the file again.

The way most applications work is that when you make a change, the program pushes the previous values to the "undo stack".  Then, when you hit the "undo" button, it "pops" the previous value from the stack.
(it actually pushes it to the "redo stack" so you can reverse that as well!)

"Normally", changes made through VBA do not utilize the "undo stack".
Therefore, those changes cannot be reversed with that standard method.
What I have done in the past is create a Public variable that stores the value when a cell is selected and can then be used for a short time to recover.

Other methods could be designed depending on the situation.

If you can send me the file, I can take a look.

Paul, this has been working so well and I just wondered if there was any way that, if a mistake has been made and the target amount needs to be retrieved from the total, by double clicking again the process could be reversed and the target value subtracted from the total?
